Come As You Are Improv Workshop

New to the Eastern Sierra Pride Festival this year, COME AS YOU ARE is a playful, welcoming improv workshop designed for the queer community and allies to connect, laugh, and let loose before Saturday night’s festivities begin. Best of all, the workshop is free with your Pride Festival ticket.

Led by Eastern Sierra improv teacher Dori Meyer, this two-hour session uses theater games and beginner-friendly improv exercises to explore the wonderfully absurd experience of being human. No acting experience needed—just show up as yourself (or whoever you want to be for the afternoon). Come solo or bring a friend.

Dori first discovered improv in high school and has spent the last 25 years training and performing at theaters across California, from San Diego and Los Angeles to San Francisco and Mammoth Lakes. Now based in Big Pine, she regularly teaches workshops in Bishop and Mammoth.

This is a space rooted in respect, camaraderie, self-expression, and play. Expect lots of laughs, a chance to shake off the week, and maybe even meet some new people along the way.
